I decided to be good, and worked my way up to this kit, since it looked to good, but hard. I was amazed and delighted when I actually started - it's so easy. Once you get going, it just follows. Definately one to add to any cart!

I got this kit and the watch kit for a birthday gift. They were so much fun to make. I am saving my money up to make another.

Making beadwork and jewelry for 20 odd years, I've seen a lot of rings - but nothing like this. These seem to almost seamlessly close themselves. This kit is a fantastic project.

This was my first project of this kind. I have been a beader for several years and was always intrigued by chain mailling. I finally took a leap and ordered the kit. I am ecstatic with the results. Beautiful and easy. Was impressed with the quality of the rings as well as the artistic packaging. Can't wait to embark on another!

I was suprised at the weight of the rings when I opened the kit, but was really happy with the finished product. It has a very pleasing weight to it as well as being absolutely gorgeous looking. The kit is presented and put together so well. It's just like opening a special gift. :-)

This was much easier than it appears, and is very impressive when comppleted. I was not happy with the toggle (too hard to fasten -- the bar was difficult to get through the ring), so I had to replace it, but other than that, highly recommended.

I started out from the beginning purchasing and making each bracelet, they just keep getting better and prettier with each one. This one was a challenge in the beginning, but if you follow the instructions in the booklet the pictures were a life saver... It was not that hard after you mastered the design 2,2,2, fold...that was the trick to this one. It is GORGEOUS! Now on to the Byzantine necklace.

I just received my kit today and once I got the hang of it, I'm now hooked. The instructions were very clear and I'm looking forward to making more different weaves. Thanks!

This is my first time doing this sort of project. After a little practice I was able to do this with ease. I loved the instructions and the great explainations given..

I have done the three beginner kits and the box chain bracelet, and while the box chain is still my favorite, I have really grown to like the byzantine weave. I love looking at it on my wrist, and I certainly get more compliments on it than on the others! One thing: I got a tumbler and tumbled this overnight with stainless steel shot and detergent, and the tumbling made a big difference in the smoothness of the finished product -- not visually, but to the fingertip!I'm working on the bold byzantine necklace now and will have a review shortly....

I completed this bracelet within 2 hours. Very easy once you get the hang of it. I am just a novice at this. This weave pattern opens up the door to great ideas! Will buy again! High quality product!

I'd been unhappy in my job. I decided to try a weave for something to do, but I couldn't figure out what to do. A friend sent me to Aislyn. That was a year ago, and I'm now doing work I love as a training maillesmith. When I had questions about following this dream, Aislyn was wonderful and giving with her time and advise. This is my very first chainmaille experience and I am so satisfied and totally amazed! I took my time, three different sittings, to make my byzantine bracelet. It went together wonderfully and looks so substantial. It has a classic and timeless look to it. You definitely know that you have it on because the weight of the silver is noticable. I have ordered other kits and believe I will continue. Your service is great. I purchased the best of your tools because they feel so wonderful in my hand, and with less grip-pressure. That means there's less nicks on the rings. Thanks for being so wonderful and getting me started in the art of chainmaille jewelry!

I'm the original klutz. Add to this a right hand that's often half-numb because of carpal tunnel syndrome and a right thumb twisted slightly inward from arthritis, and throw in a big dose of instruction-challenged, and you'll see why I wondered if I'd actually be able to make one of these wonderful chains. Long story short, I ordered the Byzantine kit. It came, I saw, I conquered. If I can do it. you can do it. Thanks, Aislyn, for a truly wonderful experience. Time to go now, I have to order more.

This was a great way to learn a gorgeous chain. I recommend 2 pair of pliers instead of the ring closing tool. It went much smoother and faster. My only complaint is that I could not understand when the instructions said that one segment of byzantine consisted of 2-2-2-fold-2-2-2-fold-2 . This seems incorrect to me, (though it could just be me). I made an entire bracelet that looks just like the picture, but that one statement was confusing. Other than that, the instructions are great as are the materials! Thanks!

This kit was my first project, and I was amazed by the results. The rings are perfect out of the box, with amazing smoothness and luster. I also found the booklet photos were especially helpfull as I learned the weave. From the ring tool to the included ring size chart, its the attention to detail that really impresses me.

The instructions were very easy to follow. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to make this weave. I had tried to make it before with a different tutorial and couldn't figure it out. Plus, these rings are so nice to work with. They just feel yummy.

Quality was excellent

The ring kit was beautiful and the rings were cut perfectly. When made up there was enough rings for more than the stated 10 inches. That worked out well for me as I am making a double wrap Byzantine bracelet. Always impressed by Urban Maille!!
