About Choosing the Gauge

16g and 18g round rings are generally the easiest rings to weave, so they're usually the best sizes for learning a new weave and for beginners.

Tiny 26g and 24g rings are challenging to weave, as are heavy 12g and 10g rings, and all shaped rings (square, diamond, etc.) so we recommend avoiding those until you're an experienced mailler.

Prices shown below are per inch of chain.

About This Weave

Skillset: Apprentice

Weave Difficulty: Pretty easy if you know Byzantine.

Olivia is the Byzantine variation we use for the band in our watch kit, so just use the instructions for that kit to learn it. You'll need to know Byzantine already.
