Half Persian 4-in-1 Bracelet Kit

Like so many others, I had tried numerous other Half Persian tutorials and I could never even get the chain started. But Aislyn's instructions and photos, her simple little starting tool, and the two metal colors made it all sooo easy! I finished the bracelet in just under two hours. This morning I made another bracelet in all copper. I feared that using the single color would be more difficult, but no - Aislyn's explanations and illustrations of the proper orientation had sunk in. Even starting the chain seemed simple as could be, and I barely had to look at the instructions the second time. The weave just sped along and I could enjoy the process and the gorgeous, weighty chain that flowed from my hands. Folks, if you've been dying to try this weave, this kit is definitely the way to go. I have tried and tried this weave from websites and never figured it out and gave up hope of ever learning it UNTIL I purchased your bracelet kit. These are the most outstanding directions and I was able to complete it in a couple hours on the first attempt. Thank you Aislyn for all your time and efforts in perfecting your directions. This weave is so beautiful - and the two colors of metal make it easier to weave and it looks stunning. I am so happy I purchased a kit and want to make another one.

Found the weave difficult to start with, after a few inches, it was okay. Using two different (copper, sterling) made it easier to understand. Of course Urban Maille's rings are the best! Would definitely recommend!

I essentially purchased an equivalent amount of copper and argentium rings (based on my wrist size) so I could utilize the smaller lozenge clasp (opposed to the larger one included in the kit). For redundancy, I actually ordered two clasps, and set them facing opposite and backwards to each other. The bracelet looks and feels great; and the quality of the rings is second to none. I will be purchasing more from UM in the future for sure; cheers!

I love the look of this weave, and printed instructions for it from the internet. There are a LOT out there. And I managed to get past the first rings to do the weave. But then I'd pick it up after a day and be lost again. The directions in this kit make the weave a snap. I could forget about figuring it out, struggling to remember and translate those internet photos, and spend my efforts on closing those rings perfectly, thereby entering the Zen zone of chain maille weaving. And it is lovely when completed. I'm so grateful to have such clear instructions for this gorgeous weave.

I live in a small rural town so if I want to learn something new I have to teach myself, therefore I order kits. I had heard how difficult this weave was but the bracelet looked so beautiful I wanted to learn it. I sat down and read the instructions, started the chain with the clip and finished the bracelet in less than 2 hours. Once you remember where to insert what ring, and the instructions are clear on this, it is a very simple weave in my opinion. If it truly is a difficult weave to start, it is certainly simplified by this clip method. The rings are great quality and I am extremely please with this first effort. Wish Urban Maille sold colored rings as I would like to do this in a variety of two-tone colors. I will definitely order more kits from Urban Maille.

i got both the bracelet and the necklace. feel i learned the weave well. a definately good weave for both jewlery and armor makers. couldn't put it down.

I have been saving up my nickles and dimes for this kit, and got it for my birthday. How EASY does this one get? I have been intimidated by half-persian and was taught using a starter chain. HATED IT. As soon as this came in the mail I started the chain using your instructions all the time with the duh factor running in my head. Thank you so much for this off and running technique.

I got this kit in argentium/copper. LOL The instructions are SO true about being a bit difficult to start, but the bracelet is BEYOND gorgeous! I'm left-handed, so the instructions were a wee bit difficult to follow in the beginning because I had to visualize everything backwards, but I'm absolutely thrilled! Be patient and you will be far more than amply rewarded!

I've been doing jewellery making for years as a hobby, all different styles, but this beats them all. It's so much fun, so easy and so quick and the results are BRILLIANT. Thanks for the wonderful, easy to follow, instructions !

Absolutely gorgeous bracelet. I made this for my son-in-law, and he wears it often. Your directions are perfect. Very easy project. My 3 daughters have been dropping many hints that they want a more feminine version. Any chance for a smaller version kitpak???

Because I completed this beautiful bracelet in less than 1 hour. For the start I was checking the instructions, which are so clear, and then I just carried on. Just buy it and try for yourself.

This is by far the most stunning bracelet I have ever made. I thought the European 4-1 was stunning.....WOW this is twice as beautiful. Everyone must try this, you will be hooked for life. And I thought it was extremely easy to do. As always the quality of your rings, the clasps and instructions are the best. I will be buying more, and the necklace too.

Who doesn't love chocolate cake?? I learned this weave before, but I never understood the construction of it enough to start it again until this kit. I was staring at my original design for over a year because I could never get it right... until UM came out with this baby. OMG, this is the best thing I have ever bought and I am excited to start the necklace soon... too many projects, so little time.

This is another outstanding product from Aislyn! The instructions for the bracelet were perfectly clear, and I had absolutely no trouble putting it together. Using the clip tool was a stroke of genius! I have the necklace expansion kit as well, but haven't had time to sit down and work on it. I'm getting rather impatient to get to it; I need another eight hours in a day!

First, words of warning: do not, repeat, do not start right in on this project immediately following making the bracelet. Transitioning from 14g to 20g too fast may result in tweaked rings. I torqued about a dozen tiny little 20g silver rings into shapes hitherto known only to wizards and their kin. Also, switching from large rings of two different colors to teeny tiny rings all very silvery and shiny may require Zen breathing exercises. That said, once I got the weave started it progressed quickly. Closing rings correctly is VERY important in this weave. Poorly closed rings will result in twisting the necklace. I will definitely do this one again - perhaps with specialty rings. It is a difficult weave, but don't let it scare you - the resulting piece is incredible, and the sense of accomplishment (especially joining two ends seamlessly) very worth the effort.

I absolutely love this weave. Your directions were so clear and easy (especially using the tool) I wonder that it is an advanced weave. Have ordered kitpacks for this weave and am looking forward to their arrival. Unisex look with heft, but a classic simplicity too. I love the feel of it on my wrist. Thank you for making it easy...

I was afraid to try this one! I'd only done Byzantine and Box Weave, but I really wanted to make the Half Persian for my husband's birthday. I was so pleased to finish it in 2 hours! The starting instructions were excellent, but I made sure to start with a focused, clear frame of mind. My husband is delighted with the final product, and he is not usually a jewelry type of guy. Thanks again for another brilliant kit which exceeded my expectations!

I have made a half persian bracelet before this kit existed. I tried every tutorial available on the web. I understood most of them but had a LOT of trouble being able to do it. All thumbs to be exact. I finally did get it started (not sure how exactly) and the rest was not bad. However, with Aislyn's instructions and the simple tool it was a duh! moment. Brilliant! The kit was finished in about an hour. I like the smaller gauges (suggested sizes are supplied in the kit) better but it is easier to learn with the 14 gauge rings. Thanks lady! Great job!

I should never have tried this kit when I was tired because I missed 2 key pieces of Aislyn's excellent directions. On a day off, I tackled it again, and I finished it in 2-1/2 hours, with breaks! It is stunning, and Aislyn has another winner. The directions and pictures are amazing, particularly how to start the bracelet! Thanks, Aislyn.

The starting method worked like a charm, and the beautiful bracelet and some earrings are tumbling as I type this. The weave is actually not difficult at all once it's started, but I can see how starting it without your solution would be a real bear! A personal note: I am really pathetically bad at spatial perception, and before I found Urban Maille, I tried, and failed, to learn chainmaille from other sources. I can't tell you how thankful I am to have found Aislyn's fabulous instructions and beautiful materials. I can't wait to make the necklace, and I'm already thinking of variations. This was my first kit order from UM and I have to say I am absolutely satisfied with the quality of the rings, components, and instructions. I have tried learning the Half Persian 4 in 1 from other online sources and it continually frustrated me until this kit arrived. Aislyn, your instructions and photos were excellent, and the starting technique worked flawlessly the first time. I will definitely be ordering more Advanced Weave kits in the future.
