The Perfect Pair

The Perfect Pair

Each kit makes 2 rings of the same metal. The heavier ring is 20g and can be made up to size 15, which is almost 3 inches around. The more delicate ring is 22g and can be made up to size 12. The kit contains all the supplies and instructions needed to weave a matched pair of rings (even for someone who's never made chainmaille before), plus a ring sizer, all in a nice tin gift box with a window. Note that you'll want to add two pair of smooth jawed jewelry pliers like those below if it's a gift for someone who doesn't already have tools.

About This Design

Make a beautiful, matched set of perfect rings for your beloved and yourself or for a couple you know. There are no more beautiful, comfortable, easy to wear rings than these. I've worn one in place of my wedding ring 98% of the time for years. I wear the real thing for dress up, but the rest of the time I wear a rose gold perfect ring that's so light and comfortable, I can't even feel it on my finger. It never gets in the way or catches on anything, not even my hair. In all the years I've worn perfect rings, the only ones I've ever had to repair were those chewed on by Malamute puppies. Nothing can withstand that kind of abuse, but it's easy to repair a damaged ring and there are extra supplies in the kitpack, so no worries.

Each kitpack makes 2 rings of the same metal. The heavier ring is 20g and can be made up to size 15, which is almost 3 inches around. The more delicate ring is 22g and can be made up to size 12. Kitpacks of different metals can be mixed and woven together in any pattern you like.

The kit contains all the supplies and instructions needed to weave a matched pair of rings (even for someone who's never made chainmaille before), plus a ring sizer, all in a nice tin gift box with a window. This kit is a great gift for a crafty someone, for someone who's expecting or experiences swollen fingers for some other reason, for someone who can't wear rigid rings, or for someone who'd rather not wear their actual wedding set all the time. Note that you'll want to add two pair of smooth jawed jewelry pliers like those below if it's a gift for someone who doesn't already have tools.

Instructions

We have free instructions for this weave. Click Vertebrae Instructions to open them in a new page.

RIng Sizes

Note: If you know your aspect ratios, you'll notice no consistency in our recommendations for this weave. We tested the weave in every gauge for the best look and characteristics for the design so that the ring sits nicely on the finger and the aspect ratio did not remain consistent up and down the chart.

There's nothing in this section on any of the pages now because it's taking a bit of time to assemble the photos, but this will be a gallery of pieces made from the weave or design.
